Phase One--Invocation
Ground and breathe. Call on the spiritual energy or goddess you work with to guide this process. Connect up the energy circuit of your nervous system with the spiritual energy you are working with. Feel the inspiration and connection moving through you. (Know that you are becoming an instrument or vessel of Divine energy, you are not doing this process from the small self!)
Phase Two—Reception
Begin to breathe deeply. Expand the stomach on the inhale, contract on the exhale.
Feel into the energy at the base of your spine. Begin to draw the energy up your spine to the top of your head. Work with the breath: expand the power with the inhale, and move the energy up your spine on the exhale.
Gather the energy in the head, until you can feel it in the cranium.
Allow the energy to cascade over the top of your head and into your third eye, in the center of the forehead. As it collects there, make one physical gesture with full intention and awareness. A sacred gesture is most appropriate—perhaps a mudra or simple hand-gesture of grace and offering. (Some women find themselves feeling like Kwan Yin, the goddess of compassion; or like Mother Mary, holding their hands in prayer.) Move your hands deliberately and slowly, and repeat the same gesture each day so that it continues to become powerful. Be aware of the forces of Will that are required to make and to hold this gesture. Hold this gesture, along with the spiritual energy you have invoked in phase one, until you feel you have become ‘lit up’ with Divine energy. You are asking to be a sacred vessel, that the Divine may use you to help heal the many places in need across our earth.
Phase Three--Distribution
Once you have created the gesture and feel you have stored up enough energy to now release it, allow a prayer to come. Let the prayer take form as simple, but focused words. Be specific, as this will help direct the energy. Rather than pray for “all the world’s children”, it may be more focused to pray for “the children in Africa who need food and care.” Or, instead of praying for the purifying of all the world’s water, you might pray for the cleansing of the river that runs through your city.
Let the energy pour through your heart and extend out your hands. You may find your hands change as you pour energy out to the world, focusing the energy towards the place or intention of your prayer. Feel all the energy move through your heart, in front and in back. Slow and gentle movement will direct this energy. Stay conscious of your breath. Continue to open your heart to service, to love and to healing energy. Let this energy move through you until it feels complete.
Completion
Gently come back to neutral. Watch and observe the active blessing you have just released. Notice how you feel.
Stretch and move slowly after this mediation.
Thank you for your dedication.
