We decided that the age-old allure of chocolate would encourage you all to open such a whimsically titled category! And because we offer you several tasty morsels of wisdom in this section, we thought the title could be a relevant bridge. Consider this section food for your soul, and a way for us to share some of the sweetness we gained by working together in the Path of the Ceremonial Arts.

But there actually is something mysterious to the analogy of chocolate and women’s wisdom! Most women I know have a ‘thing’ about chocolate. It’s an exotic, pheromone-enhancing, diet-defying food of the gods and goddesses! Some studies imply that dark chocolate and cocoa powder may increase HDL levels by as much as ten percent (indicating that chocolate could be good for your heart!).

And, Deborah Waterhouse writes, “Chemicals in chocolate affect levels of the body's mood-affecting chemicals, including serotonin, endorphins and phenylethylamine, which the body releases in response to romance.”

Chocolate has been used as a drug and a currency (in ancient Mayan and Aztec civilizations). It was outlawed by Fredrick III of Prussia in the 17th century, and at one time was only affordable to wealthy Europeans. It’s a substance of enduring mystery and commerce. One could say there is a parallel here to Feminine Wisdom!

We would recommend buying organic, and observing companies who honor Fair Trade agreements, in order to be socially responsible!

We hope you will enjoy the articles we offer here, and that you will pursue a connection with us in some way that supports you being a woman of wisdom, power and love.
