In the past, books on psychic defense and spiritual protection
served to educate their readers in the way the unseen worlds function
and what we can expect from our spiritual and magical work. The
terms used then are no longer appropriate for us today for two
reasons. First, our technologically-laden times have changed the
nature of our otherworldly relationships. And second, the terms
“protection” and “defend” condition our
consciousness in unhelpful, confrontational or fear-based ways.
In this course we explore a new approach to working effectively
with the beings and energies of the unseen worlds based on well
founded practical esoteric knowledge and personal experience more
appropriate for our times.

Course Description:
The Priest/Priestess for the 21st Century course is our most
comprehensive distance learning option for those unable to study
in the temple in Boulder. It consists of twelve experiential
modules taught via telephone conferencing, written materials,
CD meditations with required correspondence work.
Though focalized within the esoteric wisdom of the Western Mystery
Tradition, this course mirrors the transdenominational foundations
of The StarHouse, its home temple, and is thus apropos for Seekers
of various orientations. The course consists of 12 modules, each
of which offers a particular element of the Priest/Priestess
Arts for our time based upon the living model we’ve cultivated
since 1999. Though designed as a monthly plan for one year of
study, this course honors a self-directed pace and as such will
be co-determined by the student and mentor together. Further
the course was designed to allow individual tailoring so as to
ensure the best possible outcome for each individual.
Please note: Students enrolled in this course become an extended
part of our vital Path of the Ceremonial Arts community and are
welcome to visit The StarHouse during their course of study.
The following sampling offers basic information for the first
two Modules:
The
Fool: Divine Trust & Human Principles ~ Balanced for
the Journey Ahead
In Module One we focus on the basic forms that build the foundation
for the journey ahead, namely ritual as an invocation of spiritually
instructive communion, prayers to open and close the veils,
what magic really is and how it really works. Other “basics” include
the planes of existence in the world and in our bodies, the nature
and structure of the unseen worlds, and the importance of passive
and active meditative practices. The tool featured in this module
is The Sacred Cross, one of PCA’s five primary tools
used in the residential program.
The Magician: Intellect and Tools – At
the Ready
In Module Two we turn our attention to practical know how;
specifically, our relationship with the creative forces known
as Earth, Air,
Fire and Water –focusing on the way these elemental
powers move in the body, the natural world and our spiritual
practices.
We also consider the ways in which our body consciousness
helps and hinders our relationships with the unseen worlds
by studing
the Ways of the Initiate. Finally we work to bridge the gap
in our consciousness between Heaven and Earth through the
use of The SeaTree Oracle, developed by Anastacia Nutt for
the
PPA.
Inclusions and Costs:
Level I: $600-800 sliding scale (determined individually)
- Twelve
full length correspondence modules (average 20-25 pages
of material).
- Written and recorded support material for each module

- Twelve 1-hour teleconferences in between
each module.
- Written responses on each module’s required

Level II: $900-1200 sliding scale (determined individually)
- One hour Seership reading with Anastacia Nutt at the start
of the course.
- Twelve full length correspondence modules (average
20-25 pages of material).
- Written and recorded
support material for each module (offered consecutively).
- Twelve
1-hour teleconferences in between each module.
- Written responses
on each module’s required work.
- One additional monthly
question and answer session by phone
